Application to the Lille Masterclass 2024 on Marie Skłodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships

 

The Grant offices of the institutions of the Excellence Initiative “University of Lille” organise a Masterclass for applicants who plan to submit a proposal to the Marie Skłodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships 2024 (MSCA-PF) call with a Lille institution and who already have the support of a supervisor.
The eligible host institutions are: Université de Lille, IMT Lille-NE, CNRS, INSERM, INRIA, CHU de Lille, Institut Pasteur de Lille, INRAE Centrale Lille
This call is intended to select the participants to the Masterclass.


When and where


The Masterclass will take place on 5-6 June 2024 in Lille, on site.


Content of the Masterclass


The Excellence Initiative “University of Lille” is inviting MSCA-Postdoctoral Fellowships applicants for an on-site MSCA Masterclass.
The supervisor is strongly encouraged to attend the training with the postdoc applicant.


Programme


Two-day training on 5th – 6th June 2024


•    General presentation
•    Workshops on how to write a competitive MSCA-PF proposal
•    Transversal issues: Open science; Knowledge on the host institution environment, etc.
•    MSCA fellows’ and MSCA evaluators’ testimonials


3rd day : visit to the host research team


The travel to Lille will also be an opportunity to meet in person with the supervisor and its research team.


Social event


A cocktail will be the opportunity to interact in a more informal manner and meet with Lille MSCA fellows.


Eligibility criteria


The MSCA-PF Masterclass is open for external applicants who plan to submit a proposal for the 2024 call with a Lille institution as their future Host Institution and who have the support of a Lille Institution supervisor.


MSCA-PF eligibility criteria:


•    Researchers of any nationality;
•    Applicants need to have obtained a PhD at the time of the deadline of the MSCA-PF call 2024 (11 September 2024), and have a maximum of 8 years full-time equivalent experience in research, measured from the date that the researcher was in a possession of a doctoral degree and certified by appropriate documents;
•    Applicants may not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the Host Institution for more than 12 months in the three years immediately before the call deadline.
•    Proposals that were submitted in 2023 with a Lille institution as host, and scored less than 70%, can’t be resubmitted in 2024 with the same Lille institution as host.


Allocated resources


The Excellence Initiative “University of Lille” funds the travel and accommodation costs for selected candidates, if needed.
The grant will be attributed to the supervisor’s research team and will cover actual travel costs and accommodation costs (up to 90€/night) for a 3-day stay, for a maximum amount of:
-    600 € for applicants from European Union
-    1500 € for applicants from outside European Union

How to apply


The form has to be fill out by both the applicant and the supervisor.
The application will demonstrate the mutual knowledge transfer between the fellow and the supervisor. This is an essential condition for MSCA-PF programme.

Submission does not have to be completed all at once, it is possible to come back to it several times until the deadline. A code will be generated to further complete the submission. Do not forget to save by clicking the button "Finir plus tard" before leaving the application webpage.
